Progate is an education web service where everyone can learn to code. It offers a fully equipped coding environment to get users started, along with a total of nine courses and 36 lessons, including HTML & CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Ruby, and Python.
The Tokyo-based company behind Progate is backed by investors that include East Ventures, FreakOut Pte. Ltd., DeNA Co., Ltd., as well as angel investors.
Progate was the brainchild of CEO Masa Kato and lead UX designer Michi Kanda.
