Pivotable is an API that converts CSV data into Excel files with pivot tables and charts. It is particularly useful with programming languages that do not support extended Excel features like PHP or JavaScript. Users input a CSV file with a header row and sales data, and Pivotable’s PHP code sends the data file and an options file to the Pivotable Handler using the library httpfull.
Pivotable was the brainchild of software developer Florian Strahberger-Schramm.
