JW Player Appoints Miles Williams as Chief Marketing Officer
JW Player, the world’s largest network-independent video platform, announced it has hired Miles Williams as chief marketing officer.
In this role, Williams will be responsible for all facets of the company’s global marketing efforts, including brand development, demand generation, product marketing, and communications.
A proven leader with over two decades’ experience building and scaling marketing organizations, Williams joins JW Player from email marketing platform Movable Ink, where he served as chief marketing officer. Prior to that, he spent four years at Shutterstock as vice president of marketing, and was part of the team that led its initial public offering (IPO) in 2012. Williams also spent a decade at Barnes & Noble during its digital transformation, serving as vice president of ecommerce for the organization.
“As a seasoned executive with diverse experience, Miles has a proven track record for building both consumer and B2B brands, as well as using innovative digital approaches to drive business growth,” said Bill Day, chief operating officer of JW Player. “We are thrilled that he is joining the organization at such an exciting time for both the industry and the company.”
