Horizon Robotics Secures Series A Funding

Startup Horizon Robotics announced it has secured a new round of Series A financing. Six investors contributed to the round: Intel Capital, Harvest Investments, Morningside Group, Hillhouse Capital Group, Linear Capital Partners, and Wu Capital.

Horizon Robotics aims to be a leader in embedded Artificial Intelligence and provide integrated, open embedded AI solutions of high performance, low power, and low cost. The company envisions more than 1,000 devices, such as autonomous vehicles, to be equipped with “brains,” making them intelligent entities with perception, understanding, and decision-making abilities for safety, convenience, and fun. Its cofounding team combines algorithms, software, hardware, and chip development capabilities as well as an R&D team with industrial experience.

This new round of investment will be used to accelerate Horizon Robotics’ technology, product R&D, and business deployment as it further develops its autonomous driving and smart cities applications.
