Groupize Brings In $3.3 Million

Hospitality technology startup Groupize completed $3.3 million in Series A financing led by Thayer Ventures, with participation from Golden Seeds, Launchpad Venture Group, Ace Investments, Wayfare Ventures, and NTX Venture Fund.

Groupize has developed technology for the hotel industry to take control of their online group revenues. Its platform allows hotels to capture more groups while lessening the burden on hotels and group travel planners by automating tedious tasks associated with shopping, booking, collaborating and modifications. Groupize’s technology is currently being licensed and used by one of the world’s largest hotel chains to power the online groups and meetings section of several of their brands.

Groupize revealed it will use the capital to accelerate growth by investing in sales, customer support, and engineering.
