Farmstead completed $2.8 million in seed financing. Four investors contributed to the round: Resolute Ventures, Social Capital, Y Combinator, and Liquid 2 Ventures.

Farmstead is an AI-powered farm-to-doorstep grocery delivery startup. The company’s algorithms predict exactly how much food to order from local sources daily, weekly, seasonally and annually, reducing food waste substantially at micro-hubs. Customers can order online by 5:00 pm, and Farmstead will bring orders in insulated bags to customers’ doorsteps the same day, at the same prices as found in stores. Customers can also set up flexible weekly orders with free delivery.
