FinTech Startup Current Acquires $5 Million

Current announced the completion of $5 million in Series A financing led by QED Investors. Cota Capital participated in the round.

Current is a financial technology company that provides collaborative banking solutions, including a smart debit card and app for parents to provide better financial education for their kids. Parents can use Current to schedule allowance, set up and reward chores, receive spending notifications, limit spending, and block categories. Their kids receive a spending wallet, a savings wallet, and a giving wallet which enables them to donate to thousands of local and national causes.

With the Series A round of investment, Current has assembled a group of strong business partners who will bring experience, counsel, and resources.
