Vemba announced the close of $6 million in Series A financing led by Time Warner Investments, with participation from Upfront Ventures, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments and SpotX.

Vemba is a next generation video distribution and content discovery platform that enables content publishers to directly control all components of video distribution, ingestion, and monetization. Content from its discoverable video marketplace offers real-time video analytics in a player-agnostic way. Vemba also allows video producers to to effectively manage their video content with single-platform scale distribution within its public marketplace, as well as manage their own direct syndication deals with other publishers.

Vemba intends to use the funds to further expand its technology offering for content owners and publishers and continue platform rollout to large media companies.
