Court Buddy Secures $1 Million
Legal technology startup Court Buddy closed $1 million in financing led by LDR Ventures.
The Court Buddy platform matches people and businesses with solo attorneys 24/7 on demand for a-la-carte legal services based on the client’s budget, allowing users access to legal services they can afford and solo attorneys the chance to build their practices. The exclusive Court Buddy Chat instant messaging, video chat, and phone app allow members to chat with their matches on-demand anytime, anywhere. The company is the winner of the 2017 American Bar Association’s Legal Access Award, President Obama and Shark Tank’s Daymond John’s American Entrepreneurship Award, and it was named Huffington Post’s “Priceline For Legal Services.”
According to cofounder James Jones Jr., the capital is earmarked for Court Buddy’s expansion plans.
