Automotive technology startup Zooomr today announced a new round of funding from Brand Labs.

Zooomr, currently in closed beta, enables consumers to buy cars without setting foot in auto dealerships. Using smartphones or computers, consumers can virtualize the entire car leasing experience from the comfort of their homes. Consumers visit Zooomr and decide on a car, which is then located by a specialist through the company’s dealer network. All aspects of negotiation and paperwork can be carried out virtually using Zooomr’s dashboard. Once the transaction is complete, cars are delivered to people at home or work.

“We anticipate launching in NYC and Los Angeles soon,” said Maxinder Soni, CEO of Zooomr. “With these two cities being such big hubs, it makes total sense for us to perfect the process in our closed-beta, and then unveil it to consumers in two of the biggest cities in the USA.”

According to the company, the new funding will accelerate the rate of platform development.
