Predictive Software Startup ClearMetal Brings In $9 Million

ClearMetal announced it has raised $9 million in Series A financing, led by Prelude Ventures and Innovation Endeavors. New Enterprise Associates, SAP.IO, PSA unboXed, Direct ChassisLink and GT Nexus also participated in the offering.

ClearMetal is a predictive logistics company that uses data science and AI to unlock efficiencies for global shipping and trading. Developed by software engineers from Stanford University and Silicon Valley, ClearMetal’s intelligence platform predicts events in freight booking and transport, enabling asset allocation and trade management decisions that deliver unparalleled profitability gains for carriers, forwarder / 3PLs, terminal operators, and shippers.

According to the company, the funding will enable ClearMetal to expand its capabilities in the rapidly-growing predictive logistics space and beyond.
