Ocean Aero Lands New Funding

Robotics startup Ocean Aero announced the completion of a new round of financing from Lockheed Martin.

Ocean Aero is a leading provider of autonomous underwater unmanned systems that monitor the world’s oceans. The company has designed a highly ruggedized surface vessel, powered by wind and solar energy and capable of months at sea, that can be deployed from land, sea or air. They have named it the “Submaran” – a new class of unmanned, underwater, surface vessel.

According to the company, the investment will allow Ocean Aero to respond to customers’ maritime needs with technology solutions for a diverse set of missions.
