Artificial intelligence startup Novi Labs closed a new round of financing from Cottonwood Venture Partners.

Novi is a machine-learning well-planning software platform. The company’s artificial intelligence software helps shale operators improve economic outcomes through completions and spacing optimization. Novi connects petroleum engineering teams to single sources of data and interactive predictive models, allowing them to focus on improving economic outcomes in capital drilling programs.
