According to a recent SEC filing, Fetch Rewards has raised $9.7 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.
Fetch is a mobile application that allows shoppers to scan every item as they shop, receive real-time savings, track their spending, and check out with the scan of a single barcode on their phones. Within stores, the company has created Fetch-enabled scales to handle pay-by-weight grocery items. To complete the checkout, Fetch created a patented piece of hardware that transfers all items from the Fetch cart into the store’s POS system. The result, according to the company, is a truly mobile-enabled grocery environment.
