Metawave Brings In $7 Million

Wireless startup Metawave completed $7 million in seed financing. Khosla Ventures, Motus Ventures, and Thyra Global Management led the round.

Metawave seeks to revolutionize the future of wireless communications. Using adaptive metamaterials and artificial intelligence, Metawave builds intelligent beam-steering radars for autonomous driving. These high-performance radars are capable of 3D imaging and vehicle-to-vehicle communications, making autonomous cars safer, smarter, and more connected. In parallel, Metawave is also developing smart beam-steering antennas for 4G and 5G networks to provide faster networks and near-instant connectivity for billions of users.
