Location Technology Startup Humatics Secures $18 Million

Humatics announced the completion of $18 million in Series A financing led by Fontinalis Partners. Airbus Ventures, Lockheed Martin, Intact Ventures, Presidio Ventures, Tectonic Ventures, and Blue Ivy Ventures also participated in the offering.
Humatics has created micro-location and analytics software with a goal to revolutionize how people and machines locate, navigate and collaborate. Using simple, inexpensive radio-frequency technology, the system can pinpoint multiple, moving transponder targets at ranges of up to 30 meters with millimeter-scale precision, vastly outperforming existing systems at a fraction of the cost. Systems can network together to provide broad, ultra-precise positioning coverage – from factory work cells to entire distribution centers and beyond.
The company revealed that Humatics will use proceeds from the financing to develop and commercialize the company’s high-precision micro-location system and analytics software.
