KeyMe Secures $25 Million
Consumer startup KeyMe announced the close of $25 million in Series D financing. Comcast Ventures led the round, with participation from Battery Ventures, QuestMark Partners, RiverPark Ventures, White Star Capital, and Benefit Street Partners.
KeyMe is a New York City-based startup that aims to revolutionize the way people manage their keys. It allows users to store, share, and duplicate physical keys based on digital images. The company currently has more than 1,000 automated, self-service key copying kiosks in major U.S. retailers, including 7-Eleven, Bed Bath & Beyond, Rite Aid and several grocery stores.
The company revealed that the new financing will help KeyMe meet increasingly high retailer demand as the company delivers new foot traffic and profitable revenue streams. It will also be accelerating its growth rate through significant scaling of its marketing activity.
