Internet and IoT startup Keepe announced it has secured $1.5 million in financing. Ascend Venture Group, Alliance of Angels, Seattle Angel Fund, and Santa Barbara Angel Alliance participated in the funding.

Keepe’s goal is to improve the way property managers find contractors, obtain estimates, get work done and pay for services. It allows tenants to request a handyman or other service provider at their convenience, with authorization and approval rights reserved for the property manager. A handyman arrives within the same day after an authorized request is accepted. The Keepe app drastically cuts the amount of time that property manager have to spend on jobs from inception to completion.

The company revealed that proceeds will be used to expand Keepe’s service to additional cities. The service is currently available in the greater Seattle area.
