KAO Data Appoints Gerard Thibault as CTO
KAO Data has appointed Gerard Thibault as chief technical officer. The company, which is based in England, is a new fully consented data center campus serving the London market.
As CTO, Thibault will lead KAO Data’s design strategy, working closely with the delivery and operations teams. Thibault joins KAO Data after an 11-year career at industry leader Digital Realty, where he was responsible for design and implementation of more than 150 Megawatts of data center space across 24-sites globally.
“The addition of Gerard to the team is a major step in KAO’s strategic and customer plan,” said Jan Daan Luycks, the company’s CEO.
Thibault is a chartered engineer who graduated with an honors B.S. degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 1986. He has additional certifications in building services engineering, including becoming an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer in 2010.
