Juniper Networks Acquires Cyphort for Undisclosed Sum
Networking technology company Juniper Networks (JNPR) has announced its intent to acquire Cyphort. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close within the next month, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
Founded in 2011, Cyphort has developed a next generation distributed software platform to provide broad enterprise visibility and accurate detection of advanced threats and evasion techniques. The company’s approach detects the most advanced threats through its highly accurate platform combined with validation and prioritization of threats in context of the organization’s ecosystem. Through this process, Cyphort produces highly customized and actionable intelligence to users.
According to Juniper Network’s official statement, the acquisition is expected to strengthen Juniper’s Sky ATP solution by offering an enhanced solution for both on-premises and cloud, providing the best of both worlds for customers.
Prior to the acquisition, Cyphort had raised $53.7 million from Foundation Capital, Dell Technologies Capital, Matrix Partners, and Trinity Partners.
