GENBAND, a leading provider of real time communications software solutions, today announced that John Elliott has joined the organization as vice president of business development for Kandy.
In his new role, Elliott will be responsible for supporting global business development, sales and ecosystem alliances for GENBAND’s award-winning communications platform-as-a-service, Kandy.
Prior to joining GENBAND, Elliott ran global sales and business development for Cisco’s Tropo and Spark API division after Cisco’s acquisition of Tropo. Prior to working at Cisco, Elliott led Tropo’s global sales and business development teams, and before that, he led the global sales organization for Vlingo Corporation (acquired by Nuance) as vice president of global sales. Elliott is a graduate of the University of Tulsa.
“John’s extensive knowledge and experience in the embedded real time communications and application programming interface (API) space make him a perfect fit to help develop and execute our aggressive Kandy growth strategy,” said GENBAND’s executive vice president of global sales and marketing Patrick Joggerst. “With the interest and traction we are experiencing in our Kandy platform, this is the perfect time to bring someone with John’s sustained level of success and innovation into the organization.”
