Groupon Names Jennifer Carr-Smith as SVP and General Manager of North America Local

Groupon announced today that it has named Jennifer Carr-Smith as senior vice president and general manager of North America Local.

In her new role, Carr-Smith will lead Groupon’s Local business, which includes key areas like health, beauty and wellness, things to do, food and drink, and sales operations.

Before joining Groupon, Carr-Smith most recently served as president of Peapod. She boasts an extensive track record of building, scaling and transforming businesses that span multiple sectors. Prior to Peapod, Carr-Smith oversaw the global online business at J.Crew, where she was responsible for driving growth and profitability in online and mobile channels and guiding innovation in digital and omnichannel commerce. She also served as a member of the initial management team at Gilt Groupe, responsible for designing and implementing operating systems as the company scaled from a start-up to a mid-sized company.
