Former White House CIO Joins COBINHOOD as Strategic Advisor

COBINHOOD, a next-generation cryptocurrency service platform, today announced that former White House CIO Tony Scott has signed on as COBINHOOD’s chief strategic advisor. In this role, Scott will provide COBINHOOD guidance surrounding blockchain technology and the global regulatory landscape.

Scott was the third U.S. federal chief information officer and served during the Obama administration from 2015 to 2017. During his tenure, he was involved in leading multiple digitalization and blockchain-themed projects, as well as improving the cybersecurity of technology in government.

Scott’s 40-year career in information technology includes roles as CIO of VMware, Microsoft and The Walt Disney Company. He currently leads the Tony Scott Group, which provides IT consulting and advisory services to both the public and private sectors. Scott also serves as a research director at the Blockchain Research Institute, a global knowledge network.
