Electronics Startup DSP Concepts Raises $10 Million

DSP Concepts announced the close of $10 million in Series A financing led by BMW i Ventures, with participation from Walden International Ventures.

DSP Concepts is a leading provider of embedded audio solutions that specialize in microphone processing and playback processing. Its solutions are built around Audio Weaver, the only processor-agnostic platform for efficient embedded audio processing. By collaborating with third-party algorithm providers, DSP Concepts is able to reduce audio development time by 90 percent and bring products to market faster.

According to the company, the new Series A funding enables DSP Concepts to transition from its long-established engineering services business to a technology-licensing business.
