Consumer Startup DreamJay Secures $2.3 Million
DreamJay announced the close of $2.3 million in Series A financing led by the Joint Polish Investment Fund, with participation from Nordic Makers.
DreamJay created the Nightly app, which aims to help people fall asleep more easily, reduce bad dreams and awakenings during the night, and help time wake up in the lightest sleep stage. Users pick a scientifically developed, soothing audio-video theme once they are in bed, watch a two- to three-minute video, and fall asleep. During the night, the app plays brief sounds at specific moments of sleep, with the goal of relieving stress and anxiety. The company’s “fall asleep stimulation” was created by neuroaesthetics, scientists, cognitive film theoreticians and psychologists.
The company revealed that the funding will be used to continue DreamJay’s research and development.
