X.ai Raises $6.2 Million

According to a recent SEC filing, AI startup X.ai has raised $6.2 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.

Founded in 2014, X.ai makes an artificial intelligence personal assistant who schedules meetings for users. There’s no sign-in, no password, no download; all that is required is to CC amy@x.ai into the email thread, just like people would a human personal assistant. Amy, the AI assistant, then takes over the tedious email ping pong of scheduling a meeting.
