Tulip completed $40 million in Series B financing. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Jump Capital participated in the round.

Tulip Retail is a cloud-based retail platform built exclusively for store associates. It was founded in 2013 by a team of mobile and ecommerce experts interested in shaping the future in-store experience. Tulip, which is dedicated to store associate empowerment, plans to bring the best of online shopping to the selling floor with an intuitive, simple to use mobile app that enables assisted selling, store communications, and point of sale. Leading retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Kate Spade, Coach, Frye Boots, Bonobos, and Toys”R”Us use Tulip to deliver “an unparalleled omnichannel shopping experience.”

The company revealed that Tulip will leverage this investment primarily to focus on international growth and innovation.
