Storage Startup PrimaryIO Raises $5.6 Million

Data center company PrimaryIO Raises $5.6 Million

PrimaryIO announced the completion of $5.6 million in seed financing. Three investors participated in the round: Accel Partners, Partech Ventures, and Exfinity Venture Partners.

PrimaryIO is a Silicon Valley-based startup that develops software solutions with a goal to dramatically increase application performance in the most cost effective and least disruptive way imaginable. Its software dynamically accelerates primary data and I/O for business critical workloads by efficiently using server-side flash while avoiding costly server and storage upgrades.

According to the company, this investment will accelerate product development. The company plans to help customers that are facing data center capacity, cost, and performance issues, enabling them to benefit from the public cloud solutions while retaining control and security of their data.
