Sleeperbot Secures $2 Million

Internet and IoT startup Sleeperbot closed $2 million in seed financing. Birchmere Ventures and Expa Capital participated in the round.

Sleeperbot provides a messaging app for sports players to interact with each other around sports news and strategy. In 2016 200,000 fantasy football players discovered Sleeperbot and sent more than 20 million messages on the app, according to the company. Users spent more time per day on Sleeperbot than they did on Snapchat, and engaged with Sleeperbot more often than Facebook.

Sleeperbot is using the funds to expand the team to continue to build and enrich its product.
