Consumer startup Silk Therapeutics completed $10 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.
Silk Therapeutics, Inc., develops, manufactures, and sells skincare products based on silk materials. It offers PureProC, a film formulation that, according to the company, surrounds, protects, stabilizes, and delivers the benefits of vitamin C for an extended duration with anti-aging and skin health benefits. The company sells products through its online store. The company’s founders are world-renowned for pioneering silk science to improve human health. CEO Dr. Greg Altman and COO Dr. Rebecca Horan have worked together for more than 15 years developing silk-based applications and are now applying them to skincare.
