Mobile Startup OneSignal Raises $7 Million

OneSignal announced the close of $7 million in Series A financing. SignalFire and Rakuten participated in the funding.

OneSignal provides an interface to push notifications, letting content creators focus on quality user engagement instead of complex implementation. According to the company website, OneSignal has helped more than 100,000 apps send more than 1.2 billion notifications. One of the company’s major selling points is that it only takes 15 minutes to set up push notification programs. Its goal is to democratize push communication for everyone from individual blogs to top tier apps.
