Mobile security startup MagicCube Raises $8.5 Million

Security startup MagicCube closed $8.5 million in Series A financing. Four investors contributed to the round: Bold Capital Partners, EPIC Ventures, Social Starts, and Silicon Valley Bank.

MagicCube provides mobile security that combines the best of hardware and software security: a device-independent platform designed to enable large enterprises easily to deploy and manage their devices and mobile applications to more than one million consumers. The MagicCube solution secures digital transactions on any device in transit and in the cloud with the same level of security as device hardware solutions, without the complexity and cost associated with hardware deployments.

In its announcement, the company said the Series A round enables MagicCube to drive adoption of its mobile security solutions across the IoT sector.
