AI Startup Vognition Secures $700,000

Vognition announced the completion of $700,000 in financing from NJIT Highlanders Angel Network.

Vognition aims to take the risk out of adding voice portals to smart home ecosystems. The company’s smart home voice portal solution includes natural language voice controls via software-as-a-service (Saas). Vognition accepts a command, e.g. (It’s too cold in here) and takes appropriate actions, such as raising the thermostat temperature by a degree or two. Since some devices take time to complete requested actions, e.g. (closing a garage door), Vognition responds to user commands to let them know it has been understood and subsequently announces “success” when the connected device has completed its task.

In its announcement, the company said it intends to use the new funds to focus on expanding its reach through sales, marketing, and customer services.
