AI Startup Sherpa Raises $5.5 Million

Sherpa announced it has raised $5.5 million in Series A financing. Three investors participated in the round, among them Benhamou Global Ventures and Rally Ventures.

Sherpa is a multilingual voice-enabled personal assistant designed for smartphones, cars, and digital devices. The company is directly competing with assistants developed by Google, Apple and Amazon. In 2016, Sherpa reached an agreement with Samsung to preload Sherpa onto the South Korean company’s multinational devices. The company’s new predictive technology uniquely combines advanced artificial intelligence algorithms into a personal assistant with a unique design and user experience.
