Voice Actors Marketplace Voices.com Raises $18 Million

Voices.com completed $18 million in financing from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital.

Headquartered in London, Ontario, Voices.com is a job search website for voice actors and voice actor employers that has a global user base of more than 200,000 registered individuals and companies. Voices.com has a store that provides prices for different kinds of voice services, such as commercials or voicemail messages. It also has a library of articles to educate users about voice acting and trends in the field.

In May, 2012, the website launched an app for iPad and iPhone devices, followed by the release of an app for Android devices in January, 2013. Both allow job seekers to interact with potential employers directly through their mobile devices. Clients that have worked with Voices.com include ESPN, PBS, Reader’s Digest, NBC, DreamWorks Animation, and Sony.

According to the company, investment funds will be used to scale global operations, expand client and subscriber product offerings, and enhance Voices.com’s leading proprietary technology and systems.
