Communications startup Telestax announced it has raised $4.7 million in financing. Two investors contributed to the round, including LiveOak Venture Partners.

TeleStax is a telecommunication services company that enables service providers to develop communication applications. The company’s flagship product is Restcomm, a widely adopted open source platform for developing and deploying real time communications applications. Restcomm enables web and mobile developers in all markets quickly to develop, deploy and scale real-time voice, video, and messaging applications and services. With more than 4.6 million lines of code, the Restcomm project is mature and well established.

In its announcement, the company said the new investment will enable Telestax to meet the growing demand for its communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) enablement platform and marketplace. Telestax plans to use the additional capital to accelerate product capabilities, grow the operational support team, and expand market reach.
