Flybits announced the completion of $6.5 million in Series B financing. Four investors contributed to the round: Information Venture Partners, Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Trellis Capital, and Portag3 Ventures.

Flybits aims to be the first context-as-a-service platform, allowing enterprises to make Android and iOS apps truly context-aware. Its platform enables customers to transform their one-size-fits-all apps into context-aware apps that deliver personalized mobile experiences. Flybits makes it easy to go far beyond what is practical with traditional approaches and simple location-based services, to change the behavior and structure of live apps, and to slash the cost of app development and maintenance.

According to the company, the funding will help Flybits’ sales efforts in the U.S. and Europe, expand its global presence, and strengthen its product and engineering teams.
