Security Startup StackRox Closes $14 Million

StackRox announced the close of $14 million in Series A financing. Two investors contributed to the round, including Sequoia Capital.

Founded in 2014, StackRox provides adaptive threat protection for containers. It delivers a groundbreaking security platform that uses instrumentation and sophisticated machine learning to protect the agile enterprise. The company enables security teams to see containers in high resolution; to defend against threats such as code injection, privilege escalation, malicious lateral movement, and data exfiltration; and to streamline security operations – all with a single platform. StackRox is the choice of Global 2000 enterprises such as Docker, Amazon, Google, IBM, and Red Hat.

According to the company, the round will provide the three-year old company with funds to use for product development and expansion of its sales team.
