Plexchat Raises $7 Million

Mobile startup Plexchat completed $7 million in financing. Six investors contributed to the round, including The Raine Group, First Round Capital, Dream Incubator, Lumia Capital, and Singulariteam.

Plexchat is an app-based chat platform dedicated to building a home for mobile gamers. Because each game attracts a dedicated community of players, Plexchat provides online communities for them to exchange thoughts, share tactics, and grow together as gamers. The app’s group chats are designed to be meaningful conversations rather than spam. Players can also access Plexchat’s AI-enabled messenger and in-app wiki to ask and get answers to their gaming-related questions.

The company revealed that the new funding will be used to establish Plexchat as the premiere application for mobile gamers to connect and communicate around the games they love.
