AgTech company Plenty announced it has secured $200 million in Series B financing. Two investors contributed to the round, including SoftBank Vision Fund.

Plenty is an agriculture technology company that develops environments to help crops to flourish in pesticide- and GMO-free growing conditions. The company’s field-scale indoor farms combine American agriculture and crop science with machine learning, IoT, big data, climate creation technology, and heirloom seed stock, enabling Plenty to grow top-quality food while minimizing water and energy footprints. Based in San Francisco, Plenty is currently building out and scaling its operations with the goal of serving people around the world.

The company revealed that the new investment will support extending Plenty’s global farm network and its mission of making fresh produce available and affordable for people everywhere.
