Nok Nok Labs Secures $8 Million
Security startup Nok Nok Labs announced it has raised $8 million in Series D financing. Six investors contributed to the round: Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, DCM Ventures, DDS, DoCoMo Capital, Lenovo and ONSET Ventures.
Nok Nok Labs is backed by veterans of the security industry from PGP, Netscape, PayPal and Phoenix, all of whom have deep experience in building Internet scale security protocols and products. Based in Palo Alto, CA, the company was founded in November, 2011, with the goal of unifying the silos that have plagued most authentication technologies. The company’s technology solutions allow companies to scale their authentication systems to meet challenges posed by rapid growth of users using different Internet-connected devices and performing a wide range of online transactions.
Nok Nok Labs revealed that it will use the new funding to accelerate deployment of its authentication solution across private and public organizations, including government, public safety, and first responder agencies.
