Headspace Raises $37 Million
Popular meditation software startup Headspace announced it has raised $37 million in financing from Spectrum Equity.
Headspace is a digital health platform that provides guided meditation sessions and mindfulness training. With hundreds of hours of content, the award-winning app is one of the most comprehensive secular programs for meditation and mindfulness.
The company’s mental health content can be accessed online or via the Headspace mobile app, used by more than eight million people in more than 200 countries. The Headspace vision is “to improve the health and happiness of the world,” and, as part of that commitment, the company has partnered with charities, foundations, and NGOs around the world.
The company revealed that it will use the new capital to expand internationally, translating its app into additional languages.
