Digital Media Startup GTxcel Raises $3.8 Million

GTxcel closed $3.8 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.

GTxcel aims to be a leader of high quality digital, mobile, and content management solutions. The company’s service uses content to create a dynamic, digital interactive experience for readers that can be viewed on any desktop, laptop, tablet or web-enabled smartphone. GTxcel’s technology centers around a Unified Publishing Platform (UPP), on which content is created once and published on multiple platforms. GTxcel also offers consultative services that include monetization strategies and marketing services.

GTxcel is headquartered in Berkeley, CA, with an office in the Boston area. In 2012, it was named by eContent Magazine as a “Top 100 Company that Matters Most in the Digital Content Industry.”
