DBmaestro Brings In $4.5 Million to Drive DevOps Market Adoption

DBmaestro, a leading provider of DevOps solutions for database technology, today announced a $4.5 million financing led by Vertex Ventures, with participation from existing investors Stage 1, Lool Ventures, and iAngels.

DBmaestro was founded in 2008 and is a leading DevOps for database solution providers. Its flagship product, DBmaestro TeamWork, enables agile development and continuous database integration and delivery. With DBmaestro, organizations can facilitate database DevOps, increasing automation, enhancing and reinforcing security, and mitigating risk.

For people who are not familiar with “DevOps,” it is shorthand for “development” and “operations” and refers to a software development process that emphasizes communication and collaboration between product management, software development, and operations professionals. Analyst firm Gartner predicts that more than 60 percent of DevOps initiatives will have adopted tight management of infrastructure automation tools and version control by 2019.
