DBmaestro Brings In $4.5 Million to Drive DevOps Market Adoption
DBmaestro, a leading provider of DevOps solutions for database technology, today announced a $4.5 million financing led by Vertex Ventures, with participation from existing investors Stage 1, Lool Ventures, and iAngels.
DBmaestro was founded in 2008 and is a leading DevOps for database solution providers. Its flagship product, DBmaestro TeamWork, enables agile development and continuous database integration and delivery. With DBmaestro, organizations can facilitate database DevOps, increasing automation, enhancing and reinforcing security, and mitigating risk.
For people who are not familiar with “DevOps,” it is shorthand for “development” and “operations” and refers to a software development process that emphasizes communication and collaboration between product management, software development, and operations professionals. Analyst firm Gartner predicts that more than 60 percent of DevOps initiatives will have adopted tight management of infrastructure automation tools and version control by 2019.
According to DBmaestro, the company has experienced exceptional growth, doubling revenues year over year. It serves industries ranging from banks and insurance to energy and technology; its clients include Barclays, VISA, Thomson Holidays, and Bank Leumi.
“DBmaestro offers the best solution for database automation, management and delivery for DevOps,” said Emanuel Timor, general partner at Vertex Ventures Israel and the newest member of DBmaestro’s board. “The company’s market traction demonstrates that DBmaestro is addressing a genuine need.”
DBmaestro plans to use the new funding to launch its next-generation database automation solutions and extend its global sales and marketing reach.
