Bitly Brings In $63 Million

Link management platform Bitly Brings In $63 Million

Internet startup Bitly announced it has secured $63 million in financing from Spectrum Equity.

Founded in 2008, Bitly is one of the most widely used link management platforms, helping brands deliver and measure their marketing efforts across all channels. Through branded “bitlinks,” mobile deep linking and omni-channel campaign tracking, the platform aims to offer a complete marketing solution to drive customer experiences. Using HTTP 301 redirects for its links, companies can generate shortened links using their own custom domains. This allows them to push brand awareness on services such as Twitter, using the Bitly engine to generate shortened URLs and track marketing metrics.

The company revealed that the investment will enable Bitly to expand its link management and marketing capabilities.
