Security startup Automox announced it has raised $1.3 million in financing. Four investors participated in the funding, among them Blue Note Ventures, Zelkova Ventures, and Firebrand Ventures.

System management is a massive problem for IT organizations, especially those that have different operating systems, software, device types, and and geographic locations. Automox’s cloud-based platform fully automates patch remediation across Windows, Linux, Mac, and third-party software, and it reduces patching time and use of resources by 90 percent. Automox also enables management of system configuration and continuous infrastructure monitoring and inventory, providing greater security, improved productivity, and radical time savings.

According to the company, the investment will enable Automox to hire additional development talent and increase the pace of new product feature releases.
