Applitools Secures $8 Million

Mobile startup Applitools closed $8 million in financing. Four investors contributed to the round: Sierra Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Magma Venture Partners, and iAngels.

Applitools has developed a cloud-based software testing tool that automatically validates all the visual aspects of any web, mobile, and native app just like a manual tester. Applitools’ technology automatically validates an app’s UI layout, content and appearance and enables automation of tests that have traditionally been done manually. It can test apps on any browser, device, OS and programming language, and on any screen resolution and form factor.

According to the company, the new funding will allow Applitools to continue expanding its product offering and grow more rapidly.
