Workey Raises $8 Million

Enterprise IT startup Workey announced it has secured $8 million in Series A financing. Three investors participated in the round, among them PICO Venture Partners and Magma Venture Partners.

Workey is a career guide that uncovers new paths and job opportunities for users to pursue them. Using AI technology and real time data analytics, the company compares each individual user’s unique career history to millions of others to give the individual concrete career opportunities in real time. It also allows users anonymously to see how many companies would be interested in hiring them and put them in contact with hiring managers.

The company revealed that it will use the new capital to open an office in New York City and hire people for its research and development and data science teams.
