WhiteSource Secures $10 Million

Security startup WhiteSource announced it has raised $10 million in Series B financing. Three investors participated in the round: 83North, Microsoft Ventures, and Greylock Partners.

WhiteSource secures use of open source components, ensures license compliance, and automates governance and general management. The company integrates fully into enterprises’ build processes, regardless of their programming languages, build tools, or development environments. An integral part of software development environments, WhiteSource also guarantees the continuity and integrity of open source management and reduces respective risks.

The company revealed that the new funding will help Whitesource build its market leadership in open source security and compliance solutions.
