machine learning platform Textio Secures $20 Million

Artificial Intelligence startup Textio announced the completion of $20 million in Series B financing. Six investors contributed to the round: Scale Venture Partners, Box, Bloomberg Beta, Cowboy Ventures, Emergence Capital Partners, and Upside Partnership.

Founded in Seattle in 2014 by Kieran Snyder and Jensen Harris, Textio is an advanced machine learning platform for writing. It is built on an intelligent machine learning platform called a “predictive engine” that analyzes job listings and hiring outcomes data collected from more than 50 million documents to find meaningful language patterns that cause some job posts to succeed where others fail. By combining artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and a networked enterprise user base, Textio creates an innovative learning loop that gets smarter with every keystroke.

In its announcement, the company said Textio is unveiling major updates to its platform, including a redesigned user interface, deeper data guidance within the platform, expanded guidance for specific job types, and single sign-on functionality for enterprise customers.
